Martin "Marty" David Hester

Marty Hester, 46, of Rock Hill, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024.  He was born Saturday, September 10, 1977, in Charleston, South Carolina, and was the son of Donna Grider Hester and William James "Bill" Hester. Marty graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and worked in risk and compliance. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Marty enjoyed hunting, golf, scuba diving, coaching his boys and their travel baseball team, and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Marty is survived by his loving wife, Erin; sons, Grady and Bodee Hester; brother, William James "Wil" Hester; sister, Aleana Hester; and many more loving family and friends.

A Celebration of Marty's Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Oakdale Baptist Church, 1249 Oakdale Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29730. A reception will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Southern Charm 534 Waterford Glen Way, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
