Mary Alice Ballard

Mary Alice Ballard, 66, of 1343 Tenacity Ct., passed away Monday, January 18, 2010 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. Ballard was born October 24, 1943 a daughter of the late William Thomas and Cleo Pruitt Clinton. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by six brothers Bill, Donald, Edward, Larry, Johnny and Richard Clinton, and three sisters Vera Kimbrell, Lucile Green and Lois Burris. Surviving are her husband David Ballard, children Dana Ballard and wife Krista, Jody Ballard and wife Fonda, Timmy Ballard and wife Paula, Terry Dean Ballard and wife Melissa, Cheryl Lyons and husband Mark and Charis Nicholson all of Rock Hill; three sisters Ellen Parrish, Sue Melton and Fleeta Lewis all of Rock Hill; a brother Ronnie Clinton of Rock Hill; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Wednesday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ballard will be held Thursday at 2:30pm in the chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Devinney and Pastor Rick Sturgis officiating.
