Mary Anne Belcher

Mary Anne Belcher, 81, of Fort Mill, South Carolina went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2016.

Born May 1, 1935 in Troy, Missouri, she was the daughter of Robert and Edna Casner.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Dr. Rev. Richard Paul Belcher; a son, Dr. Rev. Richard Paul Belcher, Jr. (Lu) of Fort Mill, SC and daughter, Anne Jeanette Gottman (Tom) of Springfield, Missouri; a sister Mae Martin of St. Louis, Missouri and sister-in-law Frances Haley of Troy, Missouri; five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father; her sister Jeanette Hamlett (Tom), brother Marvin Handlong and brother-in-law Walter Martin.

Mary Anne was in banking most of her life and was Vice President of Service Corporation of South Carolina after moving to Columbia, South Carolina from Missouri. She was a big help to her husband in his publishing business. She typed many a manuscript and after she retired helped run Richbarry Press. She loved working in the nursery at church and was nursery coordinator for many years. Mary Anne took great joy in taking her children and grandchildren to the beach every summer. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, crossword puzzles, and jigsaw puzzles.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, South Carolina with Dr. Rev. Richard Belcher, Jr. officiating. The burial will be conducted at 3:00 PM at Bush River Memorial Gardens in Columbia, South Carolina. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday, from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
