Rock Hill - Mrs. Mary Louise Brown Bigham, 87, formerly of Chester, died Tuesday, May 04, 2010, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.

Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Whitesell Funeral Home with Revs. Jeff McWatters and Betty Salmond officiating. Burial will be 4:30 p.m. Friday at Chester Memorial Gardens.

Born May 26, 1922, Mrs. Bigham was a daughter of the late Sumter B. Brown Sr. and Lula McDonald Brown. She retired from Grace Bleachery of Lancaster after 25 years. She was a member of Purity Presbyterian in Chester, the Chester Garden Club, the Crochet Club and a Lioness. She was a past Matron and lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was the loving widow of Coleman L. Bigham.

Surviving are her daughter, Helen Bigham Dawkins and husband Jimmie of Fort Mill; one brother, Sumter B. Brown, Jr. of Rock Hill; one granddaughter, Tammie Dawkins-Moore and husband Brett of Fort Mill; and two great-grandchildren, Briana and Brogan Moore of Fort Mill. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Sexton Brown.

The family will receive friends 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Fort Mill Community Church, 1705 Highway 21 By-Pass, Fort Mill.
