Chester - Mary Gaulden Curtis, 94, of 1208 Lowrys Hwy, died Sunday, July 20, 2014, at her home.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, at Forest Hills Cemetery.

Born in Rock Hill, she is the daughter of the late William Robert and Sarah Anne Parrish Guaulden, and the wife of the late Joseph Curtis. She was retired from the Celanese Corporation and owned many Grocery Stores and Restaurants in the area. She also raised all of her brothers and sisters and attended Ebenezer ARP Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte Anne Smith and Mary Joe Moore; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by three brothers, Tom Gaulden, Willard Gaulden, and Billy Gaulden; two sisters, Edith Whiteside, and Anne Vickery.
