Mary Elizabeth Sturgis

Miss Mary Elizabeth Sturgis, 59, of Palmetto Village, passed away Tuesday December 16, 2008 at her residence. A native of Rock Hill, she was born March 12, 1949 a daughter of Ruth Hoke Sturgis of Rock Hill and the late Jesse Sturgis. Miss. Sturgis was a very devoted member of St. John' United Methodist Church and loved her family. She was a graduate of Rock Hill High School Class of 1969 and spent most of her life in Rock Hill. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Miss Sturgis will be held Thursday at 11:00am at St. John's United Methodist Church with Reverend Ken Owens and Reverend Sandra King officiating. Interment will be at 10:00am at Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road prior to the service. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
