Mary Garrison

Mary Orr Garrison, 67, passed away Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill. A native of Rock Hill, Mary was a daughter of Roy and Elizabeth "Pinkie" Orr. Born October 28, 1944 she worked as the manager for Carriage Hills Apartments in Chester, and was of the Methodist faith. Mary had a true love for people, and was passionate about her work. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas Garrison, Sr. and her father Roy D. Orr. Surviving are her mother Elizabeth Moore "Pinkie" Orr of Rock Hill; a sister Maria Corley of Rock Hill; a brother Samuel Orr and his wife Leslie of Lexington; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mary will be held Thursday at 2:00pm at Cornerstone United Methodist Church with Revs. Irvin Plowden, and Linda Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the church. A private burial will be held at a later date.
