Mary Haltom Greene

Fort Mill, SC Mary Haltom Greene, born December 8, 1926, to Jesse and Lily Haltom, went home to be with the Lord on August 7, 2013. She is survived by her beloved family: son, Timothy M. Green, and his wife Anna Marie; son-in-law, James B. Beaty; granddaughters, Stacey M. Beaty, and Amanda "Mimi" Marie Greene, great-grandson, Keegan James McCorkle; brother, Bill G. Haltom; sister, Betty H. Chastain. She was predeceased by: her husband, Harvey M. Greene; daughter, Lana Carol Greene Beaty; grandson, Matthew T. Greene; mother, Lily W. Haltom; father, Jesse G. Haltom; sister, Gwendolyn H. Pressley; and brother, James R. Haltom. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 9, 2013 evening at 7 PM at the Palmetto Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive from 6-7 prior to the service at the funeral home. A special treasure in the lives of so many, Mary faithfully loved her Lord Jesus Christ with all of her heart, soul, and mind and strength, as well as selflessly loving her neighbor. The very love of God characterized the love she demonstrated in serving her family all of her life. The example of her care and kindness will live on in precious memories and encourage the pursuit of living in the manner worthy of the lord. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be given in her memory to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
