Mary Johnson

Chester - Mrs. Mary Celestine Cole Johnson, 84, formerly of Woodstock, Virginia for 30 years, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010, after an extensive battle with cancer.

She was born August 28, 1925, in Derwood MD and was a daughter of the late Ira C. and Mary G. Cole. Mary was a dedicated wife of 64 years and a wonderful, caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her only daughter, Priscilla Ann Stiles (2005); two sisters, Virginia Zigler and Marion Beane.

A visitation will be held 11:00 - 12:30 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2010, at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock, Va. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset View Memorial Gardens.

Mary is survived by her husband; Franklin Louis Johnson of Chester; a son-in-law, Clifford H. Stiles of Newberry; five grandchildren, Tina Horn and husband Curtis of Chester, Clifford (Skip) L. Stiles of Woodstock, Va., Tammie French and fiancé, Richard Doran of Newberry, Amanda Lutz and husband Herby of Chester, Ashley Bauserman and husband, Josh of Woodstock, Va.; six great-grandchildren, Brandon Horn, Bryce Horn, Tyler French, Tabb French, Trey French and Hobbs Lutz.
