Mary Duffels Knipp

Rock Hill, SC – Mrs. Mary Duffels Knipp, 68, died Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Rock Hill Post Acute Care.

The family will receive friends 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Whitesell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Whitesell Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeffery McWatters officiating.  Services will be livestreamed over Palmetto Funeral Group Facebook Page.

A native of Chicago, IL, Mrs. Knipp was a daughter of the late Robert Martin Duffels and Mary Julia McDonnell Duffels.  Mary will be remembered as a loving and thoughtful woman who was willing to give to anyone who was in need.  She enjoyed playing games and eating sweets (ice cream, Hershey Bars) and drinking her coffee.

Surviving are her two daughters, Michelle Walls (Trinity Thrift), and Jennifer Culbertson (Michael); five brothers, Joe Duffels (Karen Moore), Marty Duffels, Dennis Duffels (Joyce), William Duffels, and Thomas Duffels; two sisters, Anna Foran and Theresa Hart (John); four grandchildren, Breonna Chapman, Johnnie Keen III, Michael Keen, and Shyann Culbertson; and one great-granddaughter, Meredith Keen.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Walls; and her second husband, Robert “Bob” Knipp.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Rock Hill Post Acute Care for their attention and care and for the staff at Agape Hospice for their loving care.
