Mary Alice Kiser McCall passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer at her home on March 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Monroe, NC on January 14, 1951.
Mary Alice was preceded in death by her father Luther Burbank Kiser, her mother Shirley Dean Helms Kiser, her paternal grandparents Aris and Lessie Kiser, her maternal grandmother Helen Adams, her brother Dennis Kiser, her baby sister Joanie Miller, her father-in-law Edward Marshall McCall, Sr., her mother-in-law Arie Taylor McCall, her brothers in law Jimmy Pate, Bill McCall, Dennis Miller, and sister-in-law Wanda Kiser.
Mary Alice is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Edward Marshall McCall, Jr of the home, their daughter and son-in-love, Tammy and Rusty Pittman of Lancaster and granddaughter Kelly also of Lancaster, whom she called “Sweet Pea”. She is survived by her siblings Joyce Pate of Fort Mill and Hope Kiser of Rock Hill. She is survived by her aunts Joy Dean Helms of Monroe, Maggie Glenn, and Faye Bradley both of Waxhaw and her uncle Gene Adams also of Waxhaw. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Funeral will be Sunday, March 26, 2023, at 3 pm at Greater Life Baptist Church, 17025 Lancaster Hwy, Charlotte, NC. Graveside service will be at Unity Cemetery, Fort Mill, SC. Visitation will be at the church 1 hour prior to the service and other times at her home.
The family wishes to send a special THANK YOU to Dr. M., Kristin, and team with Levine Cancer Center, Rock Hill, SC, and Susie, Carson, and Allison with Epic Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Greater Life Baptist Church or to Epic Hospice of Fort Mill .
