Mary "Slater" Mund McLean, 92, of 1805 Matthews Drive passed away Thursday July 19, 2012 at Westminster Healthcare and Rehab. A native of Concord, NC, Mrs. McLean was born February 27, 1920, daughter of the late Frank Bergmann and Mary Laura Cook Mund. She was a secretary for Ebinport, West End and York Road Elementary Schools. Member of Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Women of the Church and was also a member of the Matthews Drive Bridge Club. In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stewart McLean. Surviving are her two sons, Everette Allen McLean of Rock Hill, SC , John Charles McLean and his wife Heidi, two grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth and Stewart Bergmann McLean, all of Raleigh, NC, a niece, Amanda Alexander and her husband Skip of Cornelius, NC, a nephew Frank B. Mund, Jr. of Tomball, TX. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4-6pm at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. McLean will be held at 11am Monday at Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mary Katherine Robinson officiating. Interment will be at 10am Monday at Grandview Memorial Park on S. Cherry Road. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Westminster Healthcare and Rehab and Jauawan and Renita McCullough who cared for her at home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Community Care P.O. Box 993 Rock Hill, SC 29731 or Thornwell Orphanage 302 S Broad St Clinton, SC 29325.
