Mary Carnes Wilson Millwood

Mary Carnes Wilson Millwood 94, born October 17, 1918 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC. Mary worked at Springs Mill for 43 years. She attended Schere Memorial Church in Lake Wylie, SC. She was preceded in death by her late husband, James H. Millwood, her parents, Edward W. and Sallie Culp Carnes and three brothers, Toy Carnes, Eddie Carnes and Ray Carnes. Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Palmetto Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Mill, SC with Rev. Richard Lindsey and Rev. Roland Dry officiating. Interment will be at Unity Cemetery, Fort Mill, SC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00pm Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Palmetto Funeral Home and at other times at Mary's home, 1954 W. Highway 160, Fort Mill, SC 29708. Mary is survived by eight children, June and husband (Bill) Burris, Ann and husband (Rollin) Beasley, Jimmy Wilson, Frances and husband (Jerry) Childers, Norma and husband (Jim) Cameron, Jerry and wife (Lynn) Millwood, Terry and husband (Woody) Drakeford and Buster and wife (Jeri) Millwood. She was blessed with twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren, one sister, Mattie McDaniel ,many nieces and nephews, and her caregivers, Brenda Cole and Chris Gantt.
