Mary Frances Funderburk Parris ROCK HILL - Mary Frances Funderburk Parris, 60, of 534 Brush Creek Road, passed away Sunday August 31, 2008, at her residence. A native of Rock Hill, she was born September 19, 1947, a daughter of the late Jessie and Alberta Knight Funderburk. Mrs. Parris was a homemaker and member of Grace Covenant Church of God in York. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred R. Parris Jr. Surviving are two daughters, Melissa White and husband, Steve, of York and Teresa Thompson and husband, Hank, of Rock Hill; son, Fred R. Parris III and wife, Angie, of York; three sisters, Beutis Williams of Lancaster, Beaty Gene Totherow of Fort Lawn and Mary Richardson of Rock Hill; two brothers, Johnny and Jessie Funderburk, both of Rock Hill; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, and all other times at the home of daughter, Melissa White, at 2889 Chester Hwy in York. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Parris will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2008, in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Ayers officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road. Pallbearers will be Todd Bolin, P.J. Dial, Randy Oliver, Michael Gallman, Bud Parris Jr. and C.J. Panter. Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home and Cremation Center is serving the family.
