Mary Lee Stewart "Grand Mary" Robbins

Mrs. Mary Lee Stewart Robbins, 95, died Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Rock Hill Post Acute Care Center. She was the widow of the late Eugene Delaine Robbins. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm Thursday, June 8, at Edgemoor ARP Church with Rev. Bob Elliot III officiating. Burial will be private. Mrs. Robbins was born in Laurinburg, NC to the late Angus McLean Stewart and Emma Lee Stewart Myers. She was a graduate of Queens College and was employed by Peoples National Bank as Head Teller, Credit Manager of Sears, and was the Co-Owner of Modern Exterminating Co. She was a member and past Matron Secretary of the Order of the Eastern Star, Richburg 213. She was an active member of Edgemoor ARP Church. Surviving are her three sons, Eugene McLean Robbins (Lynda), Harry LeRoy Robbins (Hope) all of Edgemoor, and William Delaine Robbins (Julia) of Rock Hill; five grandchildren, Cheryl Burnet, Michael Robbins, Susan Hartwig, Will Robbins, and John Robbins; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; sisters, Eloise S. Thompson of Wilmington, NC, Katherine S. Townsend of Texas; brother, John D. Stewart (Sara) of Laurinburg, NC. She was also preceded in death by a brother Angus M. Stewart (Mary Ann), sister, Martha A. Knyzewski (Eddie), and step-father, Charles Myers. Mrs. Robbins was very devoted to her children and grandchildren. She was Grand Mary to all that knew her. The family would like to thank the staff of Helms-Gordon Assisted Living Facility for their special care for Grand Mary. The family will receive friends after the service at the church and at other times at the home of Eugene and Lynda Robbins, 4691 Edgeland Road, Edgemoor, SC 29712. Memorial may be made to the Edgemoor ARP Church Handbell Fund, 2135 Starnes Road, Edgemoor, SC 29712.
