Mary Naomi (Hambright) Sloan

Mary Naomi Hambright Sloan, 88, of Fort Mill, SC, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, July 13, 2023 at White Oak Manor of Rock Hill.

Her memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Sisk Memorial Baptist Church, 115 Massey Street, Fort Mill, SC 29715. There will be a reception immediately following the service in the Family Life Center at the church.

Born in Gaffney, SC on October 15, 1934, Naomi, or “Tete” as she is known to relatives, is the daughter of Fred A. Hambright and Cleo Mullinax Hambright. She attended Fort Mill Church of God and then Sisk Memorial Baptist Church.  She had an active career in business and sales.  She travelled to many parts of the world, being a Navy wife.  She is the widow of James C. Sloan, Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Debi Earhart (David) of FL; sons, Rick Spinks (Cindy) of GA and Jimmy Sloan of SC; sister, Phyllis Crandall of SC and brother, Fred Hambright (Jenny) of GA; 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by granddaughter Dana.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sisk Memorial Baptist Church.
