Mary Ann Simmons Wright

Fort Mill – Mrs. Mary Ann Simmons Wright, 83, died July 14, 2021, at Atrium Health Pineville, NC.

The family will receive friends 11:30 – 12:30 pm Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Whitesell Funeral Home, Rock Hill, SC.  A graveside service will follow at 1:00 pm at Unity Cemetery with the Minister Kevin Williams officiating.

A native of Jacksonville, FL Mrs. Wright was a daughter of the late James Reuben Simmons and Lois Hudgins Myers.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband Paul Wright to the beach, camping, and riding her motorcycle.  She loved her dog, Scoob.

Surviving are her children, Ralph Dixon and Phyllis Kilgo; a sister, Carol Wallace; four grandchildren, Heather Greene (James), Ralph Dixon, Jr, Anthony Dixon, and Amber Dixon; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor Greene and Brynlee Greene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Wright; two children, Lois Ann Brakefield and Molly Brakefield; and a brother, Ronald Simmons.
