On July 12th 2015 the world lost an angel. Matthew John Augello a loving father of two men, a devoted husband to his wife of 25 years, and an avid dog lover he was a charismatic person who loved the little things in life. A man of simplicity, he etched into his family and friends hearts a burning image of happiness and love. The world lost a man of great humor, a man that smoothed out any rough patch or situation with his satire remarks and melting smile. My father was a man of wisdom, who raised and taught his boys everything that he knew to ensure we had a good quality of life. Coming from a working class family he was the backbone to support and nourish the family he and my mother created. Without his contributions through our life, we would be no where emotionally, and literally. The saying goes only the good die young, and I believe that this is being proven true by the passing of this beautiful soul. It only comes with the passing of a great man that tears are shed upon the eyelashes of many. My father was one of these great men, I believe my father would not want us to mourn his death too excessively for he still watches over us and is in heaven with his mother and the Lord. He still lives within the hearts of us all, and the memories that we've abundantly acquired from his great time here on earth. Though his time was shorter than normal, he enjoyed his life. He was happy with the simplicity that he had. My father was determined and devoted to his family, making sure that even though his health was failing he was still there for the family. A man that devotion ran so deep in his blood that even on a broken ankle and fractured knee, he made the walk to the Winthrop Coliseum to watch his boy graduate from college. It comes with great sadness to have to accept the departure of this Angel, but it also comes with happiness to know that he no longer suffers from his ailments, he is a free spirit that can casually walk on the heavenly sands, he is held in great comfort with the Angels and more importantly his mother who watched over him as he made his passage, and more importantly, he now has the power and influence to watch over his family and to guide the path for the rest of our lives. That brings a calming feeling to me which I hope translates to you. We love you dad, we knew that you loved us more than anything imaginable, this is a hard time for us all, but we know with you guiding us along our path to recovery, we will be nourished with blessings, and filled with memories and happiness just by the mention of your name. Rest in Peace my father, the duty that God had for you has been completed, rest easy knowing that. Forever know that the family loves you dearly, and that as long as we live, we will miss you terribly, and rest assured that we will continue to make you proud and that we as a family will never let you down.
