Mrs. Mattie Carnes McDaniel 92 of Fort Mill, SC passed away at home on Tuesday, January 27th, 2015. Born in York County, SC Mrs. McDaniel was a daughter of the late Edward Walter and Sally Culp Carnes. The family will receive friends from 2:30-4:00 pm Friday, January 30th, 2015 at Palmetto Funeral Home, Fort Mill, SC with a funeral service following at 4pm at the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Cooley officiating. Interment will follow at the Unity Cemetery, Fort Mill, SC. She is survived by her daughter; Patricia McDaniel Hord (David) of Fort Mill, SC, four grandchildren; Sabrina H. Gast, Stacey H. Anderson, Lindsay Hord all of Fort Mill, SC and Adrienne Hord of Charleston, SC, and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie McDaniel and her daughter Sara McDaniel Helms. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
