Maureen Harrigan ("Mo") Highfill

Fort Mill, SC – Maureen (Mo) Harrigan Highfill, 55, passed away quietly at home on Friday, March 31st  after a multi year battle with breast cancer.

Maureen was born on May 12, 1967 to Robert and Daryl Mahon in Hinsdale, IL. Maureen graduated from Naperville North High School in 1985.

In 1995, Maureen met Peter Highfill in Naperville, IL. Then, married in 2000, Maureen and Peter went on to have 2 children, Katherine H. and Matthew R.; and a step son, Jeffery A.C. Highfill and his two children, Paige and Khloe.

Maureen had spent the last 8 years working in the Student Nutrition Department of the Fort Mill School District. Maureen was also a proud “band mom” for the 4 years of  her son, Matthew’s tenure at Fort Mill High School (FM).

Maureen is survived by her brothers Michael H. Mahon, Sean C. Mahon, Patrick W. Mahon and Kevin P. Woods.
A private memorial service will be held with family in Illinois at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to one of the following organizations in Maureen’s honor:
