Melinda "Lindie" Hall Ackerson

Melinda Hall Ackerson passed away at her home in York South Carolina on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the age of 63.

Melinda is survived by her husband of 43 years, Scott Ackerson. They were married in Oneonta, New York on December 23, 1973.

Melinda is lovingly remembered by her daughter Stacie Robbins Cravens, husband Brian Cravens of Houston, Texas. Son Eric Ackerson wife Jihad Ackerson of Charlotte, North Carolina, and son Joel Ackerson wife Julia Ackerson of Sparks Nevada.
Her grandchildren Jala Ackerson, Carter & Natalie Cravens, and Kaden Ackerson.
Her sister Katherine Hall Larson husband Orlan Larson of Venice, Florida. As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Melinda was born in Austin Texas on February 6, 1953 she graduated from Oneonta Senior High school in 1971 and went on to earn a BS from SUNY Oneonta.

Melinda was a Health Kinesiologist and lived to help others achieve physical and psychological wellness.

She loved to travel with her husband Scott, and enjoyed doing grandmotherly things with her grandchildren like cooking and sewing.

Her memorial service will be held at the kingdom hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in York, South Carolina on Saturday October 1, 2016 at 2 PM.

Above all Melinda Ackerson loved to spread joy, so in lieu of flowers please do something special for someone else in her honor.
