Melva McKenzie DeVane, 84, of Rock Hill, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at HarborChase of Rock Hill. She was born November 5, 1934 in Rocky Mount, NC, daughter of the late Willie W. and Beulah Moore McKenzie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, George G. DeVane.
She a devout bible teacher and an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband, David L. DeVane; daughter, Sherry Alexander of Fort Mill; son, D. Duane DeVane and wife, Melin of Chesterfield, VA; four grandchildren, Laura Bushman and husband, Nate of Charlotte, NC, Steven Alexander and wife, Adria of Charlotte, NC, Adam DeVane of Chesterfield, VA and LeeAnn DeVane of Chesterfield, VA; and one great-grandson, David Paul Alexander of Charlotte, NC.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home in Rock Hill.
