Rock Hill - Mr. Melvin Franklin Adams, 74, of 233 Meridan Drive, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, at VFW Post 2889, 732 West Main Street, Rock Hill, SC.. The family will receive friends Friday, from 6-8 PM, at the home.

Mr. Adams was a son of the late Ira R. Adams and Mary Vermelle Dowdle Adams. Mr. Adams retired as a Master Electrician from Jacksonville, Florida. He was a lifetime member of DAV. He was a Navy Veteran, a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Jenny Adams; two sons, Scott Adams (Lisa), and Ira Adams (Nancy); three daughters, Cyndi Dalton (John), Carol Cameron, and Becky Hudson (Richard); a brother, Richard Adams (Marilyn); two sisters, Iris Ratterree (David) and Debbie Swann (Mike); 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
