Michael L. Brabec

Michael L. Brabec, age 67, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, December 2nd, 2018.

Born and raised in Illinois by Sandria (Brabec) Ford, and a graduate of University of Illinois. Loving husband to Devra Brabec of 43 years and proud father to son Greg Brabec (wife Laura) and daughter Nicole Payne (husband Brian). Caring brother to Carol Greene, uncle to Matt Greene, Tricia Stevens, Kelly Lotriet and Carrie Black. Respected friend to many.

Avid golfer and generous gimme taker. Member of the vaunted Nik-Nik's softball team, many of whom stand ready to cheers him once again. Worked his entire career for Continental General Tire, time best captured by his retirement Crap Book.

He will be missed as much for his sarcasm, wit and encyclopedic knowledge of random useless facts as for his tenderness layers below - rarely displayed, but always present. We will be forever thankful for the hurdles he overcame in life and the family he built. With sincerest love and pride.

Services will be privately held.
