Michael William Fincher, Sr.

Michael William Fincher, Sr., “Mickey” , 72, of Rock Hill passed away suddenly Sunday, October 5, 2019. He was born September 4, 1947 in Woodruff, SC, son of the late Wilburn William and Florence Crawford Fincher.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael William Fincher, II and his granddaughter, Brittany Danielle Fincher.

A self-educated man, he was an extremely hard worker and a jack of all trades. He worked as a sub-contractor for many companies throughout York County. An avid fisherman, he enjoyed the camaraderie with his family on those outings. He was also a member of Woodvale Baptist Church of Rock Hill.

He is survived by wife of 53 years, Janet Osborne Fincher of Rock Hill; daughter, Cissy Nichols and husband, Donnie of Lake Wylie; son, Jeremy Fincher and wife, Lynette of Rock Hill; grandchildren, Michael Fincher, III, Courtney Fincher, Dustin Nichols, Wesley Henning, Molly Clinton, Erica Fincher, Braylon Fincher and Ryker Fincher; great-grandchildren, Destiny Rigney, Riley Ritterpusch, Isalbella Bunch, and Bentley Rainey; brothers, Larry Fincher of NC and Bobby Fincher and wife, Wanda of York; sister, Lynn Williams and husband, Kevin of NC; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Whitesell Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.
