Michael Caston Parrish, 74, affectionately known as "Buffalo", of Catawba, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 at home. He was born May 18, 1944 in Rock Hill, SC, son of the late Louis Lindsey and Minnie Belle Earnhardt Parrish.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Jeffrey Parrish and two sisters, Jeanette Foster and Kay Francis Parrish.
Buffalo worked as an electrician for 55 years and was the owner of Parrish Electric. An avid tractor and Ford man, he bought and restored old tractors and Ford cars and trucks. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Dianne Thomas (Parrish); daughters, Julie Crump of Catawba and Laura Lowder of Rock Hill; son, Timothy Caston Parrish of Rock Hill; step-daughter, Tamala Rice (Kenneth) of Covington, VA; step-son, William Thomas (Christina) of Rock Hill; special child, Jessica Parrish of Catawba; grandchildren, Jennifer (Eric), Dustin, Matthew (Teresa), Wendy and Brandon; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jacuelyn Slaton of Rock Hill and Rosemary Cornwell of Catawba; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 3 pm at the home.
