Michelle Denise Forbes Myers went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 5, 2024. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
A memorial service will be held at Whitesell Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 3:00 PM.
Michelle, also known as Nomni by all of her grandkids, was beyond strong. She put up a fight against breast cancer and came out victoriously. Michelle kept up that strength until the very end. Now that she is in Heaven, she doesn’t have to be strong and has the perfect breast. Those that knew her, know this is one happy woman right now. Michelle was born in Santa Clara, CA on April 4, 1965, to Micheal D. Forbes and the late Carole A. Stallings and Stepfather Charlie Vay. Michelle is preceded in death by her daughter, Alexandra Joan Goode. She is survived by her three other children, Amanda Nicole Goode, Derek Micheal Goode (Sandy) and Jamie-Lee Pamela Goode (Jason). Nomni is survived by her three grandchildren, Fynleigh Jean Brock, Kayden Alexander Goode and Cai Chou Goode and her grand fur babies Puddles and Rambo.
Michelle leaves behind her sisters Christine Forbes and Jacqueline Forbes and brother Scott Forbes. Niece and nephew Sierra Rosita and Jordan Lytle.
Michelle leaves behind her best friend and sister from another mister, Tina Brock, Fynleigh’s mother.
She truly loved so many people that she became an “Aunt” and Nomni to children that were not related to her by blood but were her family by choice. Michelle was the salt of the earth. She would do anything for anyone, without hesitation or expecting anything in return. Her world was complete when she was with her grandchildren, the lights of her life.
Michelle will be missed by many. The pain and sting of losing such a a loved one will never go away, but it will lessen over time. A piece of our hearts will always be missing, but in the end, we know we will see her again when our time comes. The grief will come and go, just like the waves at the beach. Some peaceful and calm, lapping at the shore. Other times, the grief will be like a storm and the waves will overtake you. But just know that Michelle is watching over us and will keep us afloat during those white capping waves.
