Mike "Pawpaw" Nunn

James Michael "Mike" Nunn, also better known as "PawPaw", 70, of Rock Hill, passed away peacefully on the evening Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at his home with his family and friends by his side. Born November 2, 1953, a native of Rock Hill, he was the son of the late James Otho and Ellen Louise Starnes Nunn.

Mike was a jack of all trades. He worked as a dedicated employee with Celanese, General Tire and the City of Rock Hill. You would also be able to find him in his garage fixing up vehicles, welding, building cookers and assisting anyone in need of tools or mechanical advice. When not working, PawPaw enjoyed riding his Harley, dancing with his wife, spending time outdoors, barbequing and playing horseshoe, fishing and hunting, and cherishing his time with his family and friends.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Kathy Ann Ferrell Nunn; daughter, Michelle Nunn; brother, William Nunn; grandson, Michael Tre Anderson and his daughter, Sky; six additional grandchildren; and many more loving family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie.

A celebration of PawPaw's life will be held Saturday November 2nd, Mike's birthday, from 2 - 4 PM at 1798 Barringer Road, Rock Hill, SC.
