Mildred A "Millie" (Douglas) Johnson

Mildred A. "Millie" Douglas Johnson, 81, of Rock Hill, received her angel wings December 31, 2015 after a courageous battle with lung cancer surrounded by her loving family. She loved working in her yard, bowling, going to the beach, and most of all spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her nine children, Terry Hill (Bob), Roger Jothen (Elaine), Barbie Plyler (Jimmy), Lance Johnson (Patti), Kristine Sims (Robbie), Bobby Jothen (Roberta), Susan J. Blue (Pat), all of Rock Hill, Mike Jothen (Cheryl), of Asheboro, NC, Greg Johnson, of Charlotte, NC; 25 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; her sister, Margaret Johnson, of Paducah, KY; along with many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 4, 2016, at 1:00pm in the Lakewood Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Devinney officiating. Entombment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00pm Sunday afternoon at the Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Pallative Care at hpcpr.org
