Miriam Elizabeth Braden

November 29, 1914 — March 21, 2015

Miriam Elizabeth Braden of Tega Cay,, SC passed into the presence of her Lord on March 21, 2015 at the age of l00. Mrs. Braden was born in Worthington Ohio on November 29, 1914 to the late Charles M. Palmer and Ethel E. (Snyder) Palmer. For many years she worked as a licensed practical nurse in Toledo, OH; and close to her retirement received Nurse of the Year award from the city of Toledo. She was a member, and regular attendee, of the Toledo Gospel Tabernacle for most of her adult life before moving to Charlotte twenty-five years ago. Miriam was the second of eleven children and is survived by two sisters; Marie Snyder and JoAnne Allen of Raymore MO; and three brothers; Hugh R. Palmer of Raymore, MO; Abraham Lincoln Palmer of Ponchatoula, LA; Eugene Palmer of Kansas City, MO and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her daughters, AnnaRose Braden of Tega Cay and Sharon E. Bareiter (James J. II) of Fort Mill, SC; her son James L, Braden (Phyllis) of Lexington, SC; grand-children Beth Ann Sullivan (Timothy Paul) of Rock Hill, SC; J, Joseph Bareiter III (Cheryl) of Marshallville, OH; Lisa Currens (Lance) of Wadsworth, OH; J. Berkeley Braden (Tracy) of Portland, OR and Heather Coleridge (Steven) of Lexington SC; ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. The body will be buried in a private family graveside ceremony. However, there will be a service to celebrate Miriam's life to be held 2 pm on Saturday, April 11th at Grace Community Church, 1190 Gold Hill Rd. in Ft. Mill, SC. All family, friends and neighbors are invited. Gold Hill Rd. is at Exit 88 off of Route 77. In lieu of flowers, Miriam has requested that memorials may be made to The Great Commission Fund c/o Crosspointe Alliance Church, 3242 Ridge Rd., PO Box 681552, Charlotte, NC 28216.
