Mittie Costner Fudge

Mittie Costner Fudge, of Edgemoor, died on August 28 in Rock Hill, S.C. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Jim Fudge in 2008, and is survived by her children, Lynda Roper, Rick Fudge, Cheryl McIntosh and Larry Fudge, and their families, including 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Lucy Cox, Phyllis Mendenhall, Joyce Brown, and one brother Ornan Costner. She retired from the Chester County school system where she had worked for 35 years. She was active in her church, Harmony Baptist, for over 60 years, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir. Not only was she beloved by her family and church, but also by her former students and her community. Her love for beauty, for laughter and her zest for life brought joy to generations of her friends and family, and her legacy of love and faith continues to bless all who knew her. A service will be held at 3pm on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Harmony Baptist Church. Visitation will follow the service in the Harmony Room at Harmony Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association or the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, 2275 India Hook Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732.
