Muriel F Johnson

Rock Hill - Mrs. Muriel Johnson, 77, died Monday, May 17, 2021, at HarborChase of Rock Hill.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1694 Bird Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

A native of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Origene M. Ferland and Annette Ferland.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She was exceptionally talented in many areas.  She was an avid seamstress and loved making items for family and friends.  Some of those items included clothing, curtains, quilts, and blankets. She was an artist who loved to make ceramics and also had a green thumb.  She was a great cook and had the ability to make a delicious meal even with limited ingredients.

Surviving is her husband of 59 years, Gene Douglas Johnson; four children, Marc Johnson (Denise), Mathieu Johnson (Linda), Colleen Knight, (Vann), and Katie Chappell (Dwayne); two brothers, John Ferland and Frank Ferland; a sister, Agnes Ferschke; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Maurice Ferland and Roland Ferland; and three sisters, Claire Bastille, Monique Brown, and Jocelyne Davignon.
