Nadine Smith

June Nadine McCarter Smith, 86, lifelong resident of Rock Hill, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014. She was a dedicated member of Park Baptist Church and an avid Duplicate bridge player. Mrs. Smith graduated Rock Hill High School and attended Winthrop University. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wade Smith; a daughter, Robbie Dean Strohecker; a great-grandson, Matthew Hucks; and a brother, Buddy McCarter. She is survived by: 3 children: Cindy Day & Bud Smith, Dr. Garrit Smith & wife Brigit, Scott Smith & wife Wendy; a sister: Mary Sanford; A sister-in-law: Margaret McCarter; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1:00pm in the Park Baptist Church. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Park Baptist Church or to the Bethel Methodist Church. The family would like to thank all the care provided by Regional Hospice, Especially Deb and Denise.
