Nancy Hill Butler

Nancy Hill Butler, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday January 20th, 2025. Nancy cherished her time with family and the “lunch bunch” group. While working at Fort Mill Police department for 15 years she met many people that call her friend. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Butler, her mother Thelma Butler, and her dad Wilton Hill. She had many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends that will miss enjoying their favorite pastime of playing cards together and going to a casino. 

Nancy will be remembered for her love of life, bringing everyone scratch off tickets at Christmas, fun trips to Cherokee, and going to football, lacrosse games, and watching all sports. She is survived by daughter Amy Sumner, grandchildren (Ben & Brianna Brickle), brother Buster Hill (Linda), nephew Rob Hill (Nikki), nephew Brad Hill (Dianne), great-nieces (Veronica, Scarlett, & Xan), great-nephews Blake Hill (Morgan) and Seth Larsen, and great-great nephew Jaxton Hill. 

A celebration of life will be held on January 25, 2025, at 2:00pm Palmetto Funeral Group, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29708 where family and friends are invited to gather and honor her memory after a very brief service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a Charity of choice in her name to continue her legacy of compassion and giving.
