Nancy Antoinette Corsillo Dormand

September 27, 1921 — December 27, 2022

Rock Hill, SC

Nancy Antoinette (Corsillo) Dormand, born September 27, 1921, passed peacefully at the age of 101 on Tuesday December 27, 2022 at Park Pointe Village, Rock Hill, South Carolina. Family members were able to visit with her during the Christmas season. Many Willow Brooke care givers (specifically Mia, Janelle, and Katie) along with long time friends (Pinky and Jim) provided comfort to her and family members during Nancy’s final days.

Nancy was born of Catholic parents and grew up in Cleveland, OH. She attended Wilcox College of Commerce. Her work career included being a secretary to many presidents and vice presidents in the retail, medical, insurance and banking industries. Nancy LOVED to work and would often share stories about how much she enjoyed her various professions.

Nancy also loved talking about her time growing up in Cleveland, her fandom of sports (including the Cleveland Browns and professional golf) and helping raise her brother, Joe Corsillo, with their mother due to their father passing when they were both relatively young. She was independent, smart and caring.

She was married briefly at age 20 to Roy Edward Flinta (deceased). On 02/15/1964, Nancy married the love of her life, Louis Dormand (deceased 4/20/79). They were husband and wife for 15 wonderful years. Together they traveled all over the world and maintained two beautiful homes in Maine and Florida.

In 1997, Nancy moved from Fort Lauderdale to River Hills in Lake Wylie, SC. She was involved with the Lioness Club, Women’s Club, Republican Women’s Club and the All Saints Catholic Church community groups where she enjoyed meeting new friends including Ron and Steve. Her love of interior decorating hit an all time high once she was settled into her River Hills home - a beautiful place where she entertained many family and friends.

In 2007, she became a resident of Park Pointe Village where she quickly became known as “Fancy Nancy” because of her fabulous wardrobe and sense of style! She loved to drive around the community in her pink golf cart! She was beautiful inside and out.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents (Joseph Anthony, Sr. and Marie Mikula Corsillo), her brother and sister-in law (Joseph Anthony Corsillo/Gretchen Dussell Corsillo) and her husband (Louis Dormand). She is survived by her nieces (Karen and Donald VonCannon), (Linda and Ron Richer), and nephew (Joseph “Bo” and Nicole Corsillo), as well as great nephew (Bryan and Amanda VonCannon), great niece (Leah and Greg Thelin), great-great nephew and niece (Jackson and Ella Thelin) and great-great nephew (Grayson VonCannon).

A private ceremony and interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont NC.

Contributions can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 902 Crawford Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29730, www.stmarys.org .

Family was served by Bass Cauthen Funeral Home, Rock Hill SC.
