Rock Hill, SC

Rock Hill, SC - Naomi Franklin MacNutt, 84, was welcomed into the gates of Heaven on August 3, 2022.

Naomi was born in Guatemala and was the daughter of the late John and Ella Franklin, who were full-time missionaries. They raised their children on the mission fields of Guatemala.   Naomi was the oldest of her four siblings: Joan Franklin, Richard Franklin, Evelyn Baker and Dale Franklin.

Naomi worked hard raising her three sons while always working multiple jobs to provide for them and still finding time to volunteer with various organizations.  She enjoyed quilting and volunteering in different ministries including pet therapy at senior homes and Hospice and Community Care. Her favorite place to eat was Golden Corral where she called the staff "her family".  She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church where she loved to attend when she was able.  Later in life, she married her sweetheart George MacNutt who went to be with the Lord in 2006.

Naomi is survived by her three sons: Scott Matthews and his wife Jill; Mike Matthews and his wife Leila; Don Matthews and his wife Heather; five grandchildren: Christian Matthews and his wife Lydia; Brody Matthews, Lawson Anderson, Alie Anderson, Whitney Reinken and her husband Ben, and one great-grandchild, Asher Reinken.

Memorial and burial will be private.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers and staff at Chandler Place, Rock Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harvest Baptist Church, ATTN:  Foreign Missions, 153 Miller Pond Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29732.
