A native to York County, Nora Thomas Hammond was the daughter of Emory Thomas and Cleo Sanders Thomas. She was the widow of Gerald James Hammond Sr. and mother of Gerald Jr. (Marjorie), Patricia Shankle (David), Bobby Hammond, Shirley Steiniger (Mike), and Wanda Bundrick (Eddie). She was the loving grandmother of 19, great-grandmother of 26, and great-great-grandmother of 5.
She has one surviving sibling Beulah Thomas Harris.
The family will receive friends and family at the home she shared with her daughter.
