Norma Croft Ellis

Rock Hill - Mrs. Norma Croft Ellis, 74, of 1953 Sandelwood Drive, died Monday, December 26, 2016 at her home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Woodvale Baptist Church, 1538 Springsteen Road, Rock Hill SC 29730. Burial will be in Catawba Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.

A native of Copperhill, TN, Mrs. Ellis was a daughter of the late John Croft and Ruth Worley Croft. Mrs. Ellis was the manager of the lunch counter for F.W. Woolworth in Rock Hill, SC and then the manager of the Harvest House for F.W. Woolworth at Southpark in Charlotte, NC. She enjoyed camping, reading and traveling. Her favorite place to travel to was Boone, NC to see her niece and family. While there she enjoyed sitting on their front porch. She always had a very caring heart and an open door for people who had a need. You always felt like you were at home whenever you were at her house.

Surviving are a daughter, Julie Ann Dulin (Eddie); three brothers, James Croft (Debi), Mike Croft (Tammy) and Marvin Croft (Cyndy); two sisters, Mary Ellis and Ellen Melton; and three grandchildren, Todd Ellis, Kevin Ellis and Justin Ellis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edwin Ellis, Sr. and a son, Robert Edwin Ellis, Jr.
