Nyla J. Wilkinson, 61, of Catawba, SC, formerly of Warsaw NY, passed away on
Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at her home.
Nyla was born on Long Island, the daughter of Norman and Bernice (Wickwire) Seip and was the older of two children. She was married to her loving husband Ted in 1978 at the United Church in Warsaw NY. She was a graduate of Warsaw High School and Holliston College.
Nyla was a veterinary technician at the Warsaw Veterinary Hospital for many years. She was also involved in the Wyoming County SPCA and a licensed wildlife rehabilitator known for rescuing hundreds of animals including cats, dogs, horses, squirrels and even a llama. She was Chairman of the Wyoming County Red Cross, and assisted her husband with his work with Veterans affairs. She loved traveling the country, especially throughout the Southwest, where she photographed every mountain and stopped to look at every cactus. Nyla was known for her selfless devotion to friends and family and for a life spent in dedication to others.
She leaves her devoted husband of 40 years, Ted, brother Jon (Kelly) Seip of Carver MA and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial/funeral service will be held on Sunday 10:30 A.M. June 24th, 2018 at the Trinity Episcopal Church, in Warsaw NY, where she was a long-time member and warden.
