Ollie Mae (Canty) Thomas

Lancaster, SC -  Mrs. Ollie Mae Canty Thomas, 76, died on Sunday, December 15, 2024.

A native of Rock Hill, SC Mrs. Thomas was a daughter of the late Allen Canty and Ella Sanders Canty.  She loved working in puzzle books and coloring.  She enjoyed watching her Soap Popper “Days of Our Live.”   She will be remembered as a lady who loved her family.  Even though she did not have her own children she saw all of her nieces and nephews and her grandchildren.

Surviving are six sisters, Elaine Cherry, Rose Mary Roberts (Johnny); Ella Campbell, Louise Shire, Jane McGinnis, and Fern Lamerasi; 7 “grandchildren”; and her caregivers, Jennifer Jorden and Virgie Cherry.  She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Cecil Canty, Lawrence Canty and Eddie Canty.

The family would like to thank MUSC Hospice Group and most of all her nurse, Jolene.
