Ollie Belle Willson

January 19, 1945 — March 20, 2021

Rock Hill - Ms. Ollie Belle Willson, passed away on Saturday March 20, 2021 at her residence surrounded by family.

Ms. "Belle was born in Charleston WV January 19,1945 she was a daughter of the late Al Warner Sr and the late Helen E Withrow Warner, and was the widow of the late Van Willson Sr.

She was a Christian and spiritual woman who knew the Bible teachings and passed them on to all.  Ms. Willson was a 1962 Graduate of South Charleston High where she was a very talented three sport Athlete, Basketball, Softball and her Love " Golf..  At the age of 18 she was rated as one of the top Female Golf amateurs in  the state of West Virginia and began her training to go professional and even playing with the late great Sam Snead.   Unfortunately, in year three she suffered a career ending elbow injury.  She then focused on raising her family.  She was a Coach and Director for youth Bowling for over 20 years in Rock Hill, SC where she made relationships with so many kids that still till the day exist. She loved kids and to watch them succeed in life, she had the " toughest love you could ever experience, and you knew immediately where you stood with her, but would go beyond limits to always be there to help anyone with any problem.

She loved her Sons and Grandchildren dearly, and frequently harped she had three wonderful Daughter in laws that she loved.

She worked hard her entire life in the Food and Beverage and Owning and operating two restaurants. She was also the first female Manager of the Elks Lodge before retiring. After some time off she decided she wanted to return to work "to stay busy".  She worked for Morningstar Ministries  Fellowship church until the Covid epidemic.

She is survived by her three Sons, Mr. Van A Willson Jr. (Kim) of Rock Hill, Mr. Paul A Willson (Karen) of Rock Hill, Mr. Tony R Willson (Gina) of Indian Land SC.  Six Grandchildren, Danielle Mitchell, Kayleigh Shaftner, Grant Willson, Zack Willson, Liz Willson, and Natalie Willson; three Great-Grandchildren, Sawyer Mitchell, Emerson Mitchell, and Lowen Shaftner; one Sister, Frances Jordan of Rock Hill; four brothers, Al Warner Jr of Carlisle KY,  Alvin Warner of Rock Hill, Adrian Warner of Lancaster SC, and Bill Warner of Cherry Grove SC; two  extremely Special Nieces, Rebecca Makupson and Fran Bernard; and her Best Friend of 43 years, Ms. Terry Ramsey of Rock Hill

A memorial service will be held 3pm, Saturday, March 27, 2012, at  Lakewood Baptist Church with Reverends Jerry Devinney and Jim Holley officiating.

Ms. Belle leaves the message to her family and friends, “Please don't shed a tear for me as I’m finally in the ultimate life, pain free, worry free and I will be waiting with open arms, till we see each other again.  And ‘WE Will.’"
