Oris Harill Stewart

Mrs. Oris Harrill Stewart, 86, of Rock Hill, SC passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Piedmont Medical Center. A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. Stewart was a daughter of the late Charles Orlie and Lillie Mae Grigg Harrill. Born on June 8, 1924, Mrs. Stewart was a retired secretary for the Winthrop School of Arts and Sciences, a member of First Baptist Church in Rock Hill, and a graduate of the Winthrop Business College. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband James F. Stewart, two brothers and two sisters. Surviving are a son Frank Stewart (Lynda) of Rock Hill; one daughter Nancy Stewart (Lesley) of New Zealand; three grandchildren: Jeffrey Bonner-Stewart (Ann), David Stewart (Sarah), and Lindsay Stewart; and one great-grandchild Claire Bonner-Stewart. A memorial service for Mrs. Stewart will be held at 11:00am Saturday, November 13, 2010 in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until the hour of service at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made in honor of Mrs. Stewart to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Ln., Columbia, SC 29210-1790 or to First Baptist Church, 481 Hood Center Dr., Rock Hill, SC 29730.
