Otis H. Mcswain Jr.

August 5, 1949 — March 10, 2012

Mr. Otis H. McSwain, Jr., 62, of 1466 George Dunn Rd, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Piedmont Medical Center. A native of Rock Hill, Otis was a son of the late Odis and Mary Louise McSwain, Sr. Born August 5, 1949 he worked as an electrician for the Lance Corporation, and was an avid wood worker. He was of the Baptist faith and attended New Hope Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Evelyn Robbins McSwain. Surviving are four sons Marty Robbins and his wife Judy, David Robbins and his wife Pam, Lee McSwain and his wife Rhonda, and Jerry Robbins and his wife Cherrl all of Rock Hill; four daughters Sandy Friday and her husband Joe, Norma Robbins, Lisa Robbins all of Rock Hill, and Mary Gunn and her husband Shannon of Fort Mill; one brother James McSwain and his wife Judy of Rock Hill; one sister Mary Ethel Bailey and her husband Ronald also of Rock Hill; sixteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends. A service to celebrate the life of Otis will be held Tuesday at 11:00am in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with Chaplain Paul Nguyen officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Monday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, and at other times at Otis' home. Entombment will follow the service at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorials in honor of Otis may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to the caring staff of the Fresenius Dialysis Center - Ft. Mill for their care of Otis during his time of need.
