Patricia Jenkins Cross

Patricia Jenkins Cross, 80, of York, SC passed away Friday, August 7, 2015. Born in Charleston, SC, Mrs. Cross was a daughter of the late Thomas F. Jenkins and Doris Croshaw Jenkins. She served along of her husband in the ministry as a pastor's wife for over 30 years. She was also a 5K teacher for over 10 years at Memorial Methodist Church in Greer, SC and worked for Belk Department Stores for 25 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, William K. Cross; 2 sons, Scott W. Cross of Charlotte, NC and William Gary Cross of Keller, TX; 2 daughters, Kim Marie Cross of the home and Tracy Cross Mahaffey (Mark) of Spartanburg, SC; a brother, Ronald E. Jenkins of Charleston, SC; a sister, Jacqueline Jenkins of Orangeburg, SC; and 6 grandchildren, Peden Mahaffey, Anna Grace Mahaffey, Kaitlin Cross, Garrett Cross, Sarah Cross and Patrick Cross. A memorial service will be held 2pm Monday, August 10, 2015 in the chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with Rev. George E. Strait and Dr. Charles D. Barrett officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Spartanburg Hearing Impaired Program (SHIP) 175 Burdette Street Spartanburg, South Carolina 29307.
