Patricia Joann Gunn

Rock Hill – Ms. Patricia Joann Dunfee Gunn, 58, died Friday, June 21, 2019.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Catawba Ward Cemetery.

A native of Parkersburg, WV, Ms. Gunn was a daughter of the late Gary Dwayne Dunfee and Mary Bell Dobbins Dunfee. Ms. Gunn enjoyed working in the food services industry with the Dinkins Group at Winthrop University and New Hope Carolinas. She also had passion for animals, enjoying the time she spent raising them and finding good homes for each. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her yard planting many different flowers or tending to her garden.

Surviving are two sons, David H. Gunn, Jr. (Angel) and Gary Hedrick both of Rock Hill; a brother, Gary Dunfee of Rock Hill; a sister, Rita Farr of Rock Hill; and three grandchildren; Kendell Gunn, Brooklyn Gunn and Cayden Gunn. Along with her many nieces and nephews with whom she loved dearly. Our family also wish to give special thanks to her caregivers, Jeanette Hewitt and her best friend Vicky Starnes. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Dunfee; and a sister, Rosemary Fortner. The family also wishes to extend a grateful thank you to the wonderful care of Crescent Hospice of Rock Hill, Heather, Tara, Libby, and April.

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday June 25, 2019 at Whitesell Funeral Home and after the graveside service at the church.

Memorial donations may made to the Food Pantry at Lake Shore Christian Fellowship, Catawba Campus, 2203 S. Anderson Road, Catawba, SC 29704.
