Patricia Ann Brooks Koenig

Patricia (Patsy) Brooks Koenig, 74, passed peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. She was born on March 20, 1941 in Rock Hill, South Carolina to Byron and Susie Brooks.
Patsy has been a resident of Tega Cay, South Carolina since 1975.
She graduated from Kings Mountain High School in North Carolina where she was an Honor Student and served as Homecoming Queen. Patsy retired from a career as a legal secretary to become a dedicated mother and housewife.
One of Patsy's biggest accomplishments in her life was her daughter Teri Hand Campi. She was the love of her life but lost her too soon to a terminal illness. Patsy loved doing arts and crafts but her main hobby was taking care of her dogs, Shadow, Noah, Shasta and Misty. Here is a poem from Patsy about her love for her dogs. "It came to me that every time I lose a dog, they take a piece of my heart with them, and every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are". Those who knew Patsy, also knew she was a dedicated "Soccer" fan and even had the patience to teach English to the German Soccer fans.
Those left to cherish her memory are husband of 39 years, Manfred Koenig, her sisters, Betty Brooks Gardner and Jeanette Brooks Houser and their families, and loving family and friends in Germany that will miss her dearly.
