Patricia Jean Mccarthy

Mrs. Patricia Jean McCarthy (Pat), 89, of Fort Mill passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at her Fort Mill home. Pat was Born in Cleveland Ohio on February 11, 1927 and was the daughter of the late William J. Anderson and the late Zell Inez Carlisle. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. McCarthy, and her brothers Bob and Bill Anderson, and her sisters Alice Anderson and Joan Dellinger.

Pat is survived by her daughter Pattie Johannes and her two sons, Robert F. McCarthy and wife Caroline, William C. McCarthy and wife Judee, and her four grandchildren; Sherry Ann McCarthy, Elaine Bugert, Robert F McCarthy II, and Roger (Chip) Johannes, and seven great grandchildren; Taylor McCarthy, Kylie Johannes, Luke Bugert, Carly McCarthy, Alex Bugert, Kiersten Johannes, and Benjamin Cook.

Pat retired from Fort Mill Schools at the age of 79, was an active member of the Tega Cay Lioness/Lions club for 40 years and inducted into the SC Lions Hall of Fame in 2010. Pat was a member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church, and active in her community serving in, Eastern Star, Lions Club and was currently the Commissioner for York County Registrations and Elections for York County, SC.

Memorial service will be held at Philadelphia United Methodist Church, 1691 Hwy. 160 W., Fort Mill, SC 29708 on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Rebecca Shirley officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
