Patricia Florence O’Loughlin Tarulli, 82, of Fort Mill, SC passed away on February 6, 2022 after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia. She was born October 11, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph Lawrence O’Loughlin and Florence (D’Anjou) O’Loughlin.
Pat grew up in Brooklyn, attending an all-girls Catholic School where she made lifelong friends. After graduation she went to work at Chemical Bank where she met and married Anthony (Tony) Tarulli. They moved to the Carolinas where Pat kept busy with their 4 children and worked as a homemaker while Tony furthered his career as a banker. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was a second mom and confidant to many because of her gift of listening and loving without judgement. She also had the gift of gab and could certainly be the life of the party!
She was an active member of The Oratory then St. Philip Neri Catholic Church for over 40 years. She devoted her adult life to serving the poor, needy, and elderly. She volunteered and worked at the Rock Hill Senior Center. She was a regular visitor to the local hospitals and nursing homes where she treated everyone as family. Her love and service to others knew no boundaries.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, and beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Survivors include her husband of nearly 63 years, Tony Tarulli of Fort Mill, her brother, Fred O’Loughlin of Brooklyn, her daughters, Joanne Stegall (Mark) of Indian Land, Janet Tarulli (Lou Scalzo) of Monroe, Donna Hrycenko (Mark McClure) of Charlotte, son Joe Tarulli (Mindi) of Concord, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30am on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at St. Philip Neri Church, 292 Munn Rd. E, Fort Mill, SC 29715. Interment of ashes will immediately follow at the church.
