Paul S. Blind

Mr. Paul Stanley Blind 85, of 755 Post Lane, passed away at Piedmont Medical Center on October 30, 2008. Born in Sayville, NY December 8,1922, to the late Paul C.A. and Nellie Decker Blind, Mr. Blind was a retired superintendent for Hollywood Furniture Co. in California. A member of St. Anne Roman Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Oratory Council 6756, 4th Degree Knight, American Legion Post # 34, Rock Hill Bass Club, seniors bowling group, U.S. Merchant Marine and proudly served his country in the South Pacific as a Navy Quarter Master during WWII. Surviving is his wife June C. Hoffmann Blind of the home. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother William M. Blind and sister Charlotte Blind Krueger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday November 4, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Anne Roman Catholic Church, officiated by Father Adilso Coelho. Interment is private. Visiting hours will be Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm,with the saying of the Rosary at 8:00pm at Bass-Cauthen Fuenral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Anne Catholic School 1694 Bird St. Rock Hill, SC 29730 would be appreciated.
