Paul Eugene Dellinger, 65, of 344 Frayser St., passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 16, 2010.
He was the son of the late James Oliver Dellinger and the late Emma Irene Porter Dellinger. He was preceded in death by his brothers Earl Dellinger and James Dellinger and his sister Corrine McDowell (Paul). He was retired from Continental General Tire and from the US Army National Guard. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he was an active member of American Legion Post 34 and the VFW.
Survivors are his wife, Patricia Foster Dellinger, of the home; his sons Brian Dellinger, Steve Dellinger, and Mark Dellinger (Amy) and their mother Diane Dellinger of Rock Hill; stepdaughters Toni and Ashley Best of Rock Hill; stepson Chris Benfield of Rock Hill; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brothers Boyce Dellinger (Muriel), John Dellinger (Linda Ellen), David Dellinger (Linda); and sisters Darlene Bigger (George) and Myra Little (Linwood) all of Rock Hill.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Whitesell Funeral Home in Rock Hill with Rev. Mike Welch officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 to 6:00 at the home of Mark and Amy Dellinger, 421 Harvest Moon Lane, Rock Hill, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Honor Guard of American Legion Post 34, PO Box 2745 CRS, and Rock Hill, SC 29732.
